Why AirEvac International?
AirEvac International has the capability to transport patients to and from all of North America, the Caribbean, and Central America. As part of our comprehensive service AirEvac International, our multilingual Medical Teams and Flight Coordinators have extensive experience navigating these transfers to safely facilitate a patient and their family's return to their home country, working closely with patients primary or travel insurance, customs & immigration, and the appropriate consulates.
Needing air ambulance services for a family member is never a situation that you want to find yourself in, but it happens more often than you likely imagine. In fact, according to the Association of Medical Services, there are more than 550,000 patients who use medical air services yearly. As to why you should select our services over others in the industry, well, the easiest way to explain that is to consider our mission statement. Our goal is to provide the highest level of medical care in the air ambulance industry by successfully combining aeronautical and technical resources with superb and highly skilled medical care. This means when you choose us, we are getting the very best not only in-patient care during transport but in aviation safety as well.
Our Commitment to Quality Care
At AirEvac International, we are proudly accredited with the NAAMTA for safety and care. We also hold the Gold Argus Rating for an exemplary rating in aviation safety. In addition, we proudly employ a Dedicated Critical Care team 24/7 and feature Intensive Care Unit Aircraft. This all means we are able to provide a level of highly specialized care that others simply cannot within our field.
The services we provide are vast. However, most of our air ambulance transport services include patients with neurological, rehab, critically ill, end-of-life, transplant, or respiratory needs. We proudly partner with several major commercial, private, and travel insurance companies to provide our services as part of our patient’s continuum of care. Our goal is to provide a seamless bedside-to-bedside patient transfer, which includes contacting insurance providers and confirming the existence of benefits for patients to help ease the burden of dealing with a major medical crisis.
Direct Service Provider
Another benefit of our services at AirEvac International is the fact that we are a direct service provider. This differs from a broker or other similar service. AirEvac International owns our own equipment, employs a medical team and pilots, and we own our own aircraft. This is very different from a brokerage service which basically serves as a middle man between the person needing medical transport and the eventual provider. We are the provider, so you need only talk to one of our flight coordinators.
Our Planes: Aircraft Info
At AirEvac International, we utilize the Learjet 31, 31ER, and 35A series of aircraft. All our fleet is equipped with onboard power inverters, transport ventilators, charting software, FAA-approved stretchers, noninvasive and cardiac monitoring instruments along with a tailored drug inventory–all of which allow us to provide the most appropriate and highest level of patient care possible. We are also able to safely transport COVID–19 positive patients from facility to facility.
What You Need to Have Ready
Before contacting our flight coordinators to begin the process of setting up your medical transport flight, have basic patient information at the ready. This includes the patient’s full name, date of birth, age, and weight along with medical reports and/or records including the diagnosis. Have the patient’s current location at the ready as well as the receiving location where the flight will be headed. This includes the physical location as well as the name of the hospital or facility.
